I've finally had the nerve to attempt radiosity (in mental ray) for 3dsMax for interiors
this scene has only 1 light source (the sun coming through the window) and the rest are just reflected light

by the way, mental ray's gi is not called radiosity. it's called photon mapping. they're both very different. by the way, did you use a skylight or something? or a regular light? very nice, by the way. at first i thought it was a photo but the i kinda figured it out.

in 3dsmax the mental ray uses Global Illumintion.

All I used was a spotlight outsiede the model to simulate the sun, and the rest is just bounced light and exposure control.

Do you know how to adjust colour bleed in 3ds max's mental ray. sometimes it's waaay too much

no. i don't know how. i've had the same prob with mr in max. the only solution i found was to desaturate the color of the object which is bleeding.
